Though diagnosed with bipolar disorder, I have spent the majority of my life un-medicated. I’ve certainly had my fair share of blunders (and hospitalizations) but I attribute what little success I’ve had with this illness to that way I’ve approached it.
For the most part I’ve paired awareness with several categories of external variables that I can change in one way or another to effect my mood. For more information, check out Variables: an Introduction
External variables explored so far:
- Sleep
Diet
Relaxation
Stress
Communication
Creativity
Contact
Exercise
Medicine
Environment
I was recently diagnosed with bipolar II and started a new blog to write and connect with others. I found your blog and am looking forward to reading about your struggles and successes. =)
Thanks for reading!
